ACIDOFILE Technology Solutions is a specific substrate for the cultivation of acidophilic plants (Azaleas, Camellias, Rhododendrons, etc.), that require an acid reaction of the medium (pH <6.0). This category of plants is also particularly sensitive to the effects of the excessive salinity of the medium, as of the irrigation water. The presence of fibrous white peat  guarantees the conditions of ventilation required for a proper root growth and prevents the phenomena of stagnation. The black peat acts as a “buffer” limiting, during cultivation, the sudden pH changes. The use of the product is also advantageous in planting acidophilic plants in the soil. In this case, it is appropriate to have a good layer of product to the hole bottom, interposed between the roots and the soil , in order to create a favourable environment.
